Your excellency Peter Rider will replace the earlier and now ill taken ambassador Alan Cook in Berlin by April 2010. Peter Rider has been director in the foreign ministry in Wellington and earlier ambassador of Thailand.

The NZ Ambassador Alan Cook opens the art exhibition "DATE LINE" in the South of Germany

The city Sindelfingen made it possible for the first time with the art exhibition "DATE LINE - modern art from the pacific" to bring excellent art from New Zealand artists to Europe.
Dr. Alexander Tolnay, former director of the Berlin art association, understood how to bring the extraordinary art of New Zealand artists which decorated well known art galleries and exhibitions in New Zealand for years closer to European visitors This must-see exhibition can be viewed until the 22 of June 2008 in the gallery of the city Sindelfingen.

19/04/2008: "We are very pleased that S.E. Alan Cook, New Zealand ambassador in Berlin, took the time to get closer contact to the German-NZ society during his stay in the South of Germany", said by the president of the Deutsch-Neuseeländische Gesellschaft,, Eva Hoetzel. Along with the exchange of contact details for the future, a trust worthy relationship and collaboration was formed.
